I am a Watercolor Artist living in Birmingham, Alabama. Since moving to Birmingham, my current work reflects my fondness for the Botanical Gardens and the huge variety of flowers and plants, especially the waterlilies.
Han's Journey in Painting
Han Wirth is an internationally known artist. In 2022 he was one of twenty Watercolor Artists who received the title International Master Watercolor Artist from two thousand international artists competing at the Art Connection Mandate, "Exposition D" AQUARELLES, [Unesco world heritage site] Albi, France. His painting was"Brahmas At Work" The painting toured with nineteen other award-winning artists and Twenty internationally known Watercolor Artists in France and Poland.
Watercolor Master Han Wirth grew up in (Burma} Myanmar, in a small village close to the seashore of the Bay of Bengal. His father left the family and his Mother raised him with the help of the Family. They lived with Han's grandparents in their home with his Aunt, who is a schoolteacher, and Uncle who has Down's syndrome. His Aunt and Uncle were major influences on his life. They helped provide a stable home environment. They taught him the importance of family, patience, persistence, education, and hard work to achieve his goals. Han Wirth attended High School and then College and was awarded a bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering. He also studied Graphic Design. His last employer in Myanmar was Mobilconnectwork Co. LTD, as a Telecommunication engineer. He negotiated land locations for towers, radio frequency Engineer, and also climbed the telecommunications towers. Yes, like those on Red Mountain in Birmingham, AL. He now works for Amazon in Birmingham while continuing his Watercolor Painting Career. In 2018, Han Wirth decided to spend full-time painting and honing his watercolor skills. He studied under Master Watercolor Artist Myat Tun Aung who was a professor at "The National University of Arts and Culture", Yangoon Myanmar. He worked painting commissioned portraits, florals, still life, and landscapes. Since Han Wirth came to Birmingham he has affiliated himself with the Mountain Brook Art Association, the Watercolor Society of Alabama, and the United States Watercolor Association.
HONORS: The Watercolor Society of Alabama showcased Han Wirth's work at the "Fall Members Showcase" at Heritage Hall Museum in Talladega, Alabama 2024. "Vestavia Hills Art Show" 2024 1st Place Viewers Choice Trussville "Gateway Art Festival" Best in Show
Saint Vincent's Hospital Art Gallery February 25 - May 1. 2025 Han Wirth is one of 6 Artists that will be shown in St. Vincent's Hospital Gallery in 2025 I feel very honored to receive these prestigious Honors.
